Cloud Imperium’s Sandi Gardiner is joined by Forrest Stephan for the latest installment of Star Citizen’s Around the Verse. Alpha 2.4 is indeed on the test server. “Very exciting stuff,” says Gardiner. “So there’s the flyable Starfarer, there’s the Reliant, which is hangar-ready, and there’s upgrades to Port Olisar.”

“And shopping,” Stephan adds. “Tons of shopping. We finally did it; we finally got the shopping implemented. We’ve been working on it for months. There’s about 36 items, I think, that you can customize your player with — everything from shoes to pants to hats, so shirts, jackets. I’m sure the players are just having a blast with [that], and there’s — I think there’s seven new space suits that we put in with the helmets.”

The episode also highlights the Imperial News Network, the fansite that compiles transcripts of everything Cloud Imperium produces — the same transcripts we use and link to here on MOP. Whenever someone in the comments acts as if there’s no information out there on Star Citizen or that it’s just too hard to find, here you go: Just shove the INN their way.

The video’s capped with a brief tease of combat in a spaceport too. Enjoy!
