Elder Scrolls Online’s Dark Brotherhood DLC buffs up the group finder

Are you into grouping in The Elder Scrolls Online? Good news for you: ZeniMax says today in a new dev blog that it’s focused on improving the grouping tool once again with the Dark Brotherhood DLC. Specifically, the LFG tool is getting a standard “ready check” feature so your tank doesn’t pull while you’re away on a biobreak, in addition to a 15-minute cooldown timer to prevent griefing and the ever popular votekick button:

“Sometimes things just don’t work out, and this will allow you to fairly decide if someone should be removed. To initiate a vote amongst your group, just right-click another player character’s name in the group UI, and choose Vote Kick. Alternatively, if you’re on console, you’ll see this option when you select a player character’s name in the group menu. Anyone in the group can initiate a vote, but it does require a majority vote to remove a group member.”

Yeah it’s hard to call it pvp when it’s one guy killing someone who never gets a chance to fight back.

TimothyTierless If you are in EU then lag in pvp is very common. USA server remain stable but pvp can felt like lag feast. Many high profile eso streamer left eso because of lag and they are especially pissed about the current performance in  cyrodill. If you can play as a solo player and avoid group in pvp gameplay is decent.

Vikaernes PVP in eso is really fun and interesting. Its a shame the lag is holding back so many pvp player.

Vikaernes Part of the problem here is the way Zenimax went about the console development after a long drawn out sales job on PC subscriptions. Essentially they sold the sub only model for “epic” (their words) AvAvA end game content. Meantime they were converting to a B2P model, developing for console and the performance in cyrodiil continued to decline.

There is a segment of the player base, I am one of them i dont hide it, who think the console/B2P model was always part of the plan and that they were less than honest with the PC backers who went all in on the subs. The fact Cyrodiil went to pot performance wise didnt help. I for one wont by another game from this company, nor will I ever particpate in a game or support a gaming company that has Matt Firor involved.

Yes the game has a solid PVE model, the raids are challenging and overall it definately rates (IMHO) as a AAA MMO. The company behind? extremely shady IMHO.

Sorenthaz TimothyTierless  Watched half of the first video. Typical none teamwork ninja. Eight minutes and he really wasn’t helping his team, he was doing the typical stealther pick off easy pickings stragglers. I love how the last encounter I watched the guy he tried to gank almost took him out and another stealther joined in to help him and they both had a hard time taking this one guy down.

I love playing stealth classes, but I’ve never been one of those who just does the solo ninja crap. I try to benefit my side of the battle. I’ll play counter ninja (going after  those trying to gank our side) I’ll jump in and help the healers who are getting attacked or whatever. This guy could have made a difference a few times I was watching and yet didn’t, kept hidden and looking for solo stragglers.

Sorenthaz TimothyTierless  If it’s “really” laggy and not an issue from the players end. Then the engine, server tech or both just aren’t up to handling larger scale pvp. :( Often I see players bitch and moan about lag when it’s actually a problem on their end. To high of settings for their system to handle or that their system was already subpar (on the lower end of hardware like all the console boxes) to begin with.

That’s been my experience with that particular complaint in regards to mmorgs in general. I didn’t ever get to doing pvp in ESO since I had other complaints about the mmorpg before ever getting to the point of getting to my pvp fix. Though I might have to log back in just to see, I like to confirm whether or not players are talking out of their ass or not about supposed lag and it’s source.

solipsis rottenrotny Every building, cave, dungeon and zone pretty much. I’m holding my breath waiting for a a huge open world MMO with zero instancing.

castagere shaikura The crafting is pretty cool. I remember making a full Histbark set for tanking.
