Blade & Soul introduces pets with its next major update

Yes, this is a thing.

Do you want a cute pet to follow you around in Blade & Soul? Good news, then, because you can have exactly that with the game’s next major update arriving on June 1st. But these pets aren’t just your ordinary non-combat pets, as having your pet out and upgraded provides you with a set of defensive bonuses. Pets can be used by level 50 characters and come in both Superior and Epic varieties, with the Epic sort allowing you to upgrade the pet and receive defensive buffs.

How do you get a pet? Well, you head down to your local shelter, and… no, that’s a lie; it’s the cash shop. Or randomly rewarded from Heroic dungeons, one or the other. You’ll need to make sure that your pet is well-fed, to boot; hungry pets wander off and (more importantly) don’t give you that sweet defense boost. Check out the details on the buffs provided and the feeding system on the official preview.
