Diablo III — on the PC at least — is all about the seasonal fun these days, and players who have worked hard to attain all of the achievements and rewards from season six only have a couple of more weeks left to put a cap on it. Blizzard announced today that season six will wrap up worldwide on July 22nd, with season seven to follow two weeks later on August 5th.

For first-timers wondering what happens at the conclusion of the season, the studio had these sage words to share: “Those who have played through a few seasons know there has been no shortage of gold, gear, or paragon levels to earn. So what happens to all that hard earned progress when a season ends? In short, you get to keep just about all of it.”

The conclusion of season six could well be a portent that Patch 2.4.2 is imminent. The update promises new Torment difficulty levels in addition to plenty of class, item, and bug adjustments.
