More adventures, monsters, and rewards are on the way to the busiest MMO in retirement, Final Fantasy XI. Yesterday Square-Enix posted a preview of its plans for the upcoming September 6th patch.

More monsters and rewards are on tap for the update, as players can earn and spend tickets for desirable pieces of armor. The patch will contain quests that deliver new alter egos and mounts, quality-of-life improvements, synthesis system tweaks, and better tooltip descriptions.

“We’ll also be bringing you a new master trial to sink your teeth into,” the team teased. “This time two particularly heinous fiends from one of our most difficult mission battles join the fray.”
