Lord of the Rings Online goes up to the front door of Mordor and knocks

An event nine years in the making is about to unfold in Lord of the Rings Online: Players will finally cross the border of Mordor and make their final approach to Mt. Doom (presumably in a very roundabout way).

In this month’s Update 19, LOTRO will take players up to the front door of Mordor, officially known as the Black Gate. It is a very iconic location from Return of the King, and the Black Gate’s reveal in an epic story cutscene is appropriately grim and darkly thrilling.
