While Star Trek Online PC players may be well acquainted with the admiralty system by now, it’s brand-new to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 crowd. Due to this, Cryptic has cobbled together a basic primer that covers how this system works and what players can get out of it.

Similar to the duty officer system, the admiralty system allows players to queue up tasks that are carried out in real time and (hopefully) result in useful rewards. Instead of using duty officers, the admiralty system puts a players’ entire fleet of acquired ships and shuttles to work — even the one that the player is currently flying.

By progressing through an entire admiralty campaign, players are rewarded with epic-quality ships. The system is only available to captains level 52 or higher.
