The Daily Grind: Are you biased against eastern MMOs?

In keeping loose tabs on responses to various games in the comments section here on Massively OP, I do see some remarks that seem to pop up more often than not, usually in the form of a player saying that such-and-such feature is a dealbreaker. Open-world PvP? Dealbreaker. Browser-based MMO? Dealbreaker. Gender-locked classes? Dealbreaker. Rainbow ponies that can ride so fast that they can travel to any historical era? That sounds… awesome. Let’s make that happen.

Anyway, another dealbreaker for some that I’ve seen crop up is when a particular incoming title was created in the east rather than the west. There seems to be some trepidation about such MMOs as much as there is admiration for the (usually) gorgeous graphics and exciting-looking combat.

Do you have a bias against eastern MMOs? Have you been burned by one too many imports? Or are you still excited about the titles that are coming out of China, Japan, and Korea these days?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!
