One Shots: A purrrfect sunset

What makes a good sunset even better? When you get to curl up with your favorite pet and share a Hallmark moment together.

UpayaCrow kicks us off today with our display of community screenshots with this luscious view from Black Desert: “I love the pets in BDO because they’ve spent a lot of effort on animations and behaviors. Your pets have personalities and will perch on your shoulder or ride along side you when you’re driving a wagon. And, well, they’re so adorable! Here we are lounging in Valencia, looking out at the sun setting over Altinova.”

Watch out though: Cats are known for waiting until the opportune moment to trip their owner over the side of a cliff and then walk away into a new life.

What’s that up in the sky? It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s reader Brandon peppering us all with razor-sharp arrows from the side of a Dungeons and Dragons Online airship! Not cool, man. That’s a party foul!

Reader Estranged is bringing the beats to the stuffy English in The Secret World. Crank up the tunes!

“She is not amused with my jams, man,” she said. “A boombox may not be ‘cool’ in London, but this Illuminati girl just wants to have fun!”

I probably take way too many pictures of plants and scenery in MMOs than is healthy for a normal gamer. So I can relate how the following vista caught the eye of one of our readers.

“As I roamed Yavin 4 in SWTOR, I happened upon this gorgeous spot! Maybe I WILL choose Yavin 4 for my Stronghold, after all!” AilsaN10 sent in.

Melissaheather conducted an interesting experiment in a character creator: “One of the things I love about Guild Wars 2 is that it’s remarkably good at making avatars that look like someone. For whatever reason they figured out the most common facial shapes and types and I’ve really never played a game better at making avatars that end up looking like people you can recognize. As a big European metal fan I made my favourite metal divas: Nitte Valo of Burning Point, Simone Simons of Epica, Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast, and Tarja Turunen (formerly of Nightwish). Turned out pretty well too!”

For this week’s screenshot challenge, why not share pictures of technology in MMOs? It could be ships, robots, steamworks, cars, or anything along those lines!

Every week, One Shots shines a spotlight on the best community screenshots from your MMO adventures. If you have a great pic to share, email it to justin@massivelyop.com with the subject “One Shots.” Make sure that the picture is over 880px wide and comes with a description or story!
