Conan Exiles delays Xbox One version until later this year, corrects server patch issues

If you’re eagerly anticipating playing Conan Exiles on your Xbox One, you’re going to need to be more patient. The game’s official Twitter account announced that the port to the platform will be delayed until Q3 for unspecified reasons.

The good news for people who are already playing is that the game received a small patch intended to fix a few exploits and improve game server startup speed as well as region-specific server issues. Unfortunately, players seem to find that it’s caused more of a server meltdown than anything, which was sort of the opposite of the intent. The developers have promised that they’re addressing these issues as a top priority, although if you’re experiencing any issues we’re sorry to say that there is no ETA for a fix at the moment. If you lost your placeable items, you will have to do a bit of legwork to reset that problem. So perhaps that’s why Xbox users will have to wait a bit.

14 gigs is a small patch? Apparently I need a better connection.

Neat game so far. Though I only started playing two days ago so the shiny hasn’t worn off yet. I look forward to playing it more in two more days when the patch has finished…

Best I can tell what happened is that the decay system got patched in before it should have and caused everything not built or placed on a foundation to disappear. Building on sand is never a good idea.

NOTE:
Graphical materials and textures were re-calculated in this build, which will result in a large download size (~14gb). We apologize for the inconvenience.

That was from yesterdays patch. Today’s hot fix was small.

Problem with their patches is they tend to break almost as many things as they fix. After one patch I couldn’t refill water skins after another you couldn’t place shrines. I haven’t seen the results of yesterdays patch yet.

Now that I think of it their has been zero forward progress on the single player game. The day one game bugs like losing all but one arrow on logging back in or half your water skins being empty on logging back in have never been fix but instead new bugs pop up and are then later fixed. I understand that server stuff is a top priority but it’s a little disappointing as a single game player to see no forward progress at all.

Xbox One is about to go through a new dashboard update soon(ish), it’s in testing for some preview members, so maybe that is going to change some things?
Unless they just want to launch it to be Scorpio ready in the backend from the get-go.

Or just random techincal stuff they want to fix on PC first.

I don’t think console players are as forgiving as PC players they have a lot of things that need fixing before a console release.

I’ll play it when it’s done.
