LOTRO has begun testing Mordor’s front yard

Update 20’s testing is in full swing over at Lord of the Rings Online, so if you absolutely, positively cannot wait for the next content release to get here, you can jump onto Bullroarer to see what lays in wait. Or, y’know, just read the patch notes.

The centerpiece of Update 20 is a new region called The Wastes that is made up of three “prologue” areas to this summer’s Mordor expansion. Players can take a sneak peek at the Slag-hills, Dagorlad, and Noman-lands right now (not to mention the imposing Black Gates), although the next part of the epic story is not on the test server as of yet.
