See real life through the lens of an MMORPG

Have you ever heard of this YouTube channel called Casually Explained? It’s been growing in popularity thanks to the creator’s deadpan wit and his awkward, dry jokes. As much as we’d encourage you to watch through his entire playlist, we highly encourage you to check out his latest video, especially if you’re an MMORPG player (we feel safe assuming this).

In his “The Human Player Type,” Casually Explained looks at real life and the world through the viewpoint of an MMORPG, fitting the bulk of a human lifespan into the terminology and framework of online video games. Oddly enough, it really works, and the MMO in-jokes are absolutely hilarious if you get them.

Treat yourself to a few minutes of humor by watching it after the jump.

If your parents do bad you get screwed up stats for the rest of the game then he switched over the a poster of ‘Calliou’. If you have kids and have ever had the misfortune of watching it – its a funny joke.

Saudi is easy mode?
Yes, for a vanishingly tiny fraction of the toons. And certainly not the female toons.
I guess they had to claim some area in that part of the world didn’t suck.

Very good video, I wonder how you flag your self for PVP in none PVP areas of the game world though.

That was pretty funny. I like how serious his tone is while telling jokes and how relevant they are for MMO players.

Yes! His deadpan voiceover sells it. Like you could close your eyes and just listen and not even really catch on that it’s a joke until the end. :D
