The Pantheon team is ‘very satisfied’ with the game’s progress

In an interview with Pantheon Senior Game Designer Corey LeFever on MMO Play, LeFever said that the dev team is “very satisfied” with the progress that the team has made over the past couple of years.

The interview serves as a decent overview of what Pantheon is about, although knowledgeable fans might find it slim pickings for new information. LeFever does discuss the open world aspect of the game as well as climates, class roles, and Pantheon’s group-centric philosophy.

“We really have put a lot of our blood, sweat, and tears into this project, and we hope that comes across when our fans see the streams and public facing updates,” LeFever said. “It’s a rare opportunity to work on a project like this in the manner that we do, and we take that seriously. As far as the next dev steps? We’re pretty focused on continuing on all fronts: systems, classes, new zones… you name it.”

Pretty hyped for this game, its exactly the game I need in my life.

However I fear that they are targetting a very niche audience and it will end up hurting them in the long run.

Good. The more I play MMOs, the more I realize how much I hate playing really popular games.

The issue with that is the lack of a revenue and then we get a smaller and smaller team with half a year without new content until they finally go bankrupt.

I’m not convinced Pantheon’s audience will be that niche. It’s a PvE game with raids at heart. The only thing niche about Pantheon is that it’s a group based MMO. Soloing will not be viable. Pretty rare these days but something many people want to return to the genre.

BREAKING NEWS: Pantheon Online’s developers are developing Pantheon Online.

…Justin, why does this exist? This article as newsworthy as something titled, “The Pantheon Team are ‘Capable of Continued Breathing’ by Retaining Homeostasis.”

The P-brains always try to throw something out like this to news outlets every once in a while so they can feel relevant. Awareness is good, though not in the frame of thinking they may believe. Im sure some of them will be along in the comments here shortly to add a few posts as well.

Is this a non-news non-story about an interview another outlet gave?
