Rumor: Overwatch leak reveals Insurrection PvE event launching tomorrow

Who had “PvE event” in the Overwatch teaser rumor pool? Oh, everyone? OK then, you all win, because that is indeed what appears to be happening. And we know this because the French PlayStation YouTube channel leaked the video (now being hosted elsewhere on YouTube). If ever you wanted proof against grand conspiracies, just remember that people can’t even keep a video game trailer secret for five freakin’ seconds.

Most of the video is shoot shoot shoot bullet bullet gun as King’s Row burns, but about 1:56 in, we get a slide claiming the event begins tomorrowday and runs until May 1st (yes, it’s time-limited). Blizzard is calling it Insurrection.

“For a limited time, we go back and offer to relive one of the key moments in the history of Overwatch,” reads the fan translation of the original French text. “Rally your friends and accompany Tracer in his first mission during the King’s Row insurrection, our new co-operative shock or discover the origins of some of your favorite heroes with more than 100 new objects for Overwatch: Insurrection including models, Entries, emotes, tags, etc. ! Overwatch archives have been declassified, but this will only last until May 1st.”
