E3 2017: State of Decay 2 targets spring 2018 launch

Call it State of Delay 2.

Players are going to have to wait a little bit longer to get their next hit of Undead Labs’ State of Decay. At E3 2017, Undead Labs announced that State of Decay 2 is now looking at a spring 2018 release window for the co-op zombie title. A developer consoled fans on Twitter for the delay, saying, “So, yeah, the date shifted as you saw. This is hard for me as a player but great for the game. Hang in there a little longer?”

On a more positive note, State of Decay 2 was announced to feature Xbox Play Anywhere funcationality, which allows players to effortlessly transfer progress between console and PC. You can check out a pair of new trailers from the trade show after the jump!

I cannot wait for this to come out. I still play the first one. It’s such a unique take on the Zombie Survival game, nothing like DayZ and every 1 millionth copy of that game. I really cant wait for this one to come out and to jump into that unique experience with a friend this time around.

I was a bit let down, it does not look to have improved visually much at all from the first, including animations which always looked so robot

Hopefully they will expand massively on the base building aspects and such that would be fantastic!

The first was good, I backed it and was happy with the end result but this second one looks another level of better. More of a open world Sandbox, which appeals to me.

Game looks sick.
