INTO KUGANE
The time is finally here. While pre-ordered players were able to play from Friday onward, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood officially launches today. Players of all sorts can log in and start fighting for the liberation of Ala Mhigo and Doma beneath the heel of Imperial occupation; the developers have even officially confirmed that the instance issues hitting the game at the start of Early Access have been largely resolved. (Most players were able to solve those issues on Sunday, but the official statement is still nice.)

Be very careful with that launch trailer.. it’s chock full of spoilers.

Balmung player here, if I don’t log in before noon , I might as well just not try to play.

Last night tried to log in after 7pm. Over 4k in queue, I gave up after 2hrs.

This is why they are offering rewards to move off the server.

I’m on Balmung too and didn’t bite, but I also won’t complain about it since it is my own fault.

Well my whole FC is on Balmung, would be shitty to leave my friends

Same here.

But we were told months in advance this would happen, been given free transfers on top of added bonuses to transfer and yet still stay. Again no one to blame but ourselves.

If it’s so bad then perhaps lobby amongst your friends and FC to move.

Also been on FFXIV since before ARR, and not leaving my starting server, cause they F’ed up and allowed others to make characters on a full server.

That’s the thing. Balmung has been restricted since the last expansion and completely locked down for over a month.

The only thing more SE could do is a server split and that would be a shit show.

Problem being that you can always create new characters in the morning.

Before they completely locked it down you might have had a chance right after the servers went back up otherwise you had to pay for a transfer. Now there is literally no way to get in.

Again not sure what more SE could do short of forcing people to split the population with a server split and F that. Queues are not going to be around long enough to warrant it.

I resubed on Sunday. Honestly, everything was like normal for me. Admittedly I’m off peak hours though.

For me, its been fine since they took down the great wall of Rauban on sunday morning. If you happen to be on Balmung or another overly populated server, you get huge queues, but that was expected. My wife’s on Balmung and has been getting instance problems, booting her from dungeons, but I’ve only had about 1 dungeon disconnect when servers hiccuped on Friday I think. (im on Siren, same data center though).

Well it sounds like things are getting better so I’m happy to hear that :)

Queues are killer on Gilgamesh and I hear Balmung(sp?) is even worse. If you get booted with the 90k error (instances) you’ll get right back in said 2k queue for a hour or more.

Frustrating to say the least… when it’s not kicking you and you’re not in queue tho it’s good.
