Forget the parched desert, Massively OP’s MJ is ready to play in the snow! Conan Exiles has opened its new biome, and it is full of that cold powder. And trees! Of course MJ can’t resist running out to explore, even if she isn’t really prepared to survive there; there is much more than just the cold waiting to snuff out her life. Well, who needs to survive anyhow? It’s not like this is a survival game. Oh, wait. Tune in live at 2:00 p.m. for a glimpse into the The Frozen North expansion.

Is this game worth playing (a) yet and (b) for a solo PvE MMORPG player with no experience of survival games? I’m always willing to try something new and love the AoC graphics, but I’m kinda on the fence on this one at the moment and would appreciate any pointers. I assume it’s not all about zombies, which would certainly distinguish it from the others.
No zombies! Just other people and animals that want to chew your face off.
There are PvE servers and a whole huge host of private servers (we play on my own). I haven’t done it, but you can set up a local client and just play a game right on your own pc too. I’m enjoying, because I love exploration and construction. This game has dungeons (only one before the expansion) which is more than many survival games. Having to watch your food and thirst is different than MMOs, and you have to feel OK with dying a bunch the first bit while you learn the game some.
3 dungeons
Ahh I had bet that the new expansion would have more, but I haven’t done them yet. Thanks!
Graphics look pretty nice!
