Secret World Legends fan recreates Franklin Mansion in The Sims 4
Today we want to give a shout-out to Massively OP reader Katriana for a really neat project that she shared recently! A Secret World fan, Katriana recreated the iconic Franklin Mansion’s blueprints, landscaping, and decorations from the MMORPG.

Franklin Mansion is Secret World Legends’ quintessential haunted house, sporting secret passages, a dark history, plenty of ghosts, a squad of cats, a time travel mirror, and one old lady who is stoically riding it out until her death.

Check out her work in this gallery and give some props to Katriana in the comments!

Excellent work, Katriana!

I’ve been playing The Sims on and off since The Sims 2, so I have some idea of how much work you put in to make your creation. You have my respect.

And thank you for sharing this with us here on Massively!

Cheers,

Thanks for the kind comments everyone :) I had a lot of fun making this over the weekend. For anyone that’s interested and who plays The Sims 4 I did upload two versions of this house to the gallery there so they are available to download to your game if you so wish. Search for Franklin Mansion, or for user ID KatrianaND. The SWL version is the one pictured here that I tried to create as accurate to the game as possible (though as an amalgam of what it currently looks like as well as what it may once have looked like.) The other version I renovated and furnished to be more practical for Sims 4 gameplay.

Twitter only lets you attach 4 pictures max so I couldn’t include the attic picture there.

And because I decided the mansion deserved to be inhabited I created Eleanor. Really wish they had a sweater closer to the one she wears in game…this was the closest I could get.

Oh my! Now how to get a murderous hippie commune in there…

Given some of the Sims stories I have heard, that can probably be arranged.

That is some good work though I hope for the sake of your Sims you added some cat litter trays. :-)

Always made me glad we don’t have smells in Secret World. You have this big house full of cats and not a cat litter tray in sight. That place must smell and you don’t want to be walking through there barefoot indoors or out. ugh!

Even with kitty litter boxes.

You probably don’t want to look too closely at the cake in the kitchen either. That thing is so old it belongs in a museum :-)

Wow, nicely done! Talk about the perfect house to wall up and starve my Sims in.

Not sure how long it took me all told on this. Maybe 5-ish hours on this version? Maybe less. The fully furnished version took far longer because I redid the floorplan some, especially upstairs, so there would be a decent amount of functional rooms.
