Secret World Legends devs talk next week’s patch and beyond

With some wind at its back thanks to a launch that exceeded studio expectations, Secret World Legends and its development team dare not slow down for fear of losing this much-needed momentum. In this week’s dev stream, the team discussed many of the projects that it’s working on for the near and far future.

Lair megabosses and the NYC raid are scheduled to arrive in next week’s patch, as is an emote window for those who haven’t memorized every slash command. Hopefully coming with the patch? “A build manager is an integral part of SWL and we’re hard at work on making it happen ASAP. We really hope we can squeeze it in for this coming update, but if it doesn’t pass QA then it’ll be in shortly after.”

Looking past that update, Funcom has a lot in the works including the remainder of Tokyo (including a few “missing” missions) and the second season of the game. The studio is still tight-lipped about season two except to say that everyone on the team is very excited about it.

Legacy transfers and Funcom Points to Aurum conversions will wrap up on September 4th, so get on that if you want to bring any of that over from The Secret World. A second round of legacy transfers will take place later this month.
