The MOP Up: Warframe battles cancer (September 3, 2017)

The MMO industry moves along at the speed of information, and sometimes we’re deluged with so much news here at Massively Overpowered that some of it gets backlogged. That’s why there’s The MOP Up: a weekly compilation of smaller MMO stories and videos that you won’t want to miss. Seen any good MMO news? Hit us up through our tips line!

Maybe you’ll discover a new game in this space — or be reminded of an old favorite! This week we have stories and videos from SWTORWarframeRappelzPlayerUnknown’s BattlegroundsStardew ValleyWorld of TanksStarcraft RemasteredArmored WarfareGuild Wars 2NeverwinterRuneScapePokemon GoDota 2Wakfu, and Skyforge, all waiting for you after the break!

New Games and Testing

  • PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: Is e-sports in this game’s future? The team says that it’s taking “baby steps” toward this right now.

  • RuneScape: You can now see the sum total of all of your achievements in the game thanks to RuneScore.
  • Armored Warfare: Hop into one of five new progression vehicles and take the fight to the Waterway map with this past week’s update.
  • Starcraft Remastered: This multiplayer game got another patch full of bug… fixes.
  • Rappelz: There’s a dungeon-centric patch coming on September 12th that will take players into Devildom. Spent a long time thinking up that name, apparently. [Source: Press release]

  • Neverwinter: The Siege of Neverwinter event is back through September 14th, during which you can earn a griffin or an extra companion!
  • Warframe: Wear a (free) orange suit during the month of September to show solidarity against Leukemia! [Thanks Zen Dadaist and sophiskiae!]

Wear this digital ribbon to show your support – instead of actually showing support through a donation.

Makes sense.

I support the idea of supporting cancer research – I just don’t want to be assed into doing anything about it. /modern_day_cynic

They are raising money also, do not get why people comment / bash a company without a simple google search first.

This month we’re asking you to show your support and spread awareness about helping organizations support those with Leukemia. Wearing this ribbon will do just that. If you’re able, we’re also setting up a DE team for the Light The Night Walk on October 14 in our hometown of London Ontario. As a company we are matching any donations made to our team.

Tenno, we ask you to consider supporting one of our own however you can. Your Harmony Ribbon is waiting for the month of September in-game and will be removed when September ends. All you have to do is log in starting September 1st!
