A bit off topic, but I always loved David Lynch’s take on Dune. It was bizarre, quirky, over the top, epic, and had a great cast and soundtrack. Speaking of Lynch, I need to revisit Twin Peaks.

You missed a couple of the uniquely EVE touches to the contretemps:

1) the player who did this was one of the ten people elected to the CSM player council. Sometimes, democracy’s choice can be … problematic. Obviously not IRL :-)

2) the betrayal, which Goons negotiated with the player, occurred in the presence of CCP employee(s). Greatly inconveniencing thousands of people via betrayal is certainly not un-EVE-like. But I wonder if the whole thing causes some to reconsider where they spend their gaming time & money.

That’s just the way CCP rolls. If they were not modern internet geeks, they would be viking pirates.
