The original Secret World has one final (?) hurrah left in it, as Funcom reactivated the legacy transfer service today for a second round of imports to Secret World Legends. This transfer doesn’t apply to characters, unfortunately, but it does allow for an emergency airlift of players’ emotes, sprints, cosmetics, and pets from the original game to the reboot.
Anyone who previously linked his or her TSW account to SWL can use this round of transfers. While it can only be used once, the good news is that there is no time limit (in case you’re on vacation or waiting for a special occasion).
“This means that you can go back to TSW and grab anything you may have missed before transferring the first time around,” Funcom noted.

I’m glad there’s no time limit as I have to re-install TSW in order to spend the rest of my points, and I don’t even have room to really do that right now.
I was pretty irked at some things that happened with the transfer at first, including points that people thought were transferring that weren’t going to that we saved and didn’t spend when we did our original transfers – but this does fix that. I just need to re-install the entire thing and it’s not a small download for people with 8mb connections.
So grateful for this second run at it, had i known swl would be the mmo for me i would have been methodical the first round, time to check out of tsw for good.
Is there a point to doing this if I already used the first transfer, and I only have one character? Will I get more stuff, if I do it again?
If you still have bonus or Funcom points left and cannot transfer them to SWL as Aurum, you might want to consider spending them in the classic game for cosmetics and then use the 2nd transfer.
Or if you forgot to clean Mabil & Maddog’s inventory, then now is the time :)
That sounds like a lot of work, but I am installing the old Secret World now, to have a gander.
Whats crazy is I spent the last several days working with Funcom’s customer service trying to get my account to legacy status and was told basically too bad. I had to even send them my Steam receipt from years ago. It makes me mad/sad I tried coming back to SWL and I purchased the old TSW but was told that there was nothing they could do literally a day ago. While the customer service people were super nice I decided to uninstall the game. Frankly I’m mad at Funcom as a paying customer I felt I should have been able to get the character slot unlocks at least. Well there are lots of MMOs that I can play and even though I hear how great the story is Funcom isn’t ever getting any more of my money.
I was written off. I have written off the product.
they don’t make it easy to have both on your computer that’s for sure!
I see people say that, but I remember there were instructions the week of launch that iirc amounted to editing a configuration file. They’ve both worked fine for me since that 30 second fix
You now have to copy the TSW folder to another folder labelled Secret World Legends then copy the xml file into the old TSW folder
still sounds like effort that should be on the developer rather than the end user. >>
Yeah, but we’ve been following FC long enough can you really say you’re surprised?
tru fam tbh
I could install both without any issues(using 2 different drives).
