Black Desert ramps up Halloween, brings back black stone event, and deals with downtime

Over in Black Desert, there’s a red moon rising, and that’s just how the players like it. Halloween is ramping up in intensity thanks to this week’s update, as Isabella the Black Witch increases her appearances around the world. It’s almost as if she knows that her time here is limited…

The October 25th patch is also an apology of sorts for the previously botched black stone event. Since the drop rate on that wasn’t quite what the devs expected, they are bringing the (fixed) event back for another run from now through November 8th.

Indeed, additional server issues seemingly introduced by the patch caused server outages and crashes yesterday; expect more downtime today as it’s worked out.

Other changes of notes with the patch include class balancing tweaks, a smaller game installation size, a fix for challenge rewards, two new level 60ish challenges, and a chat link function.
