Here’s the good news: World of Warcraft has turned on Pilgrim’s Bounty once again, which means that you can jump through some holiday achievement hoops and get yourself a title and pet. If that’s something you urgently require, it’s here! This event is more helpful than most as a way to powerlevel your cooking, so if you need to do that, your ship has come in. Or if you really love flinging food at people, that’s on the table as well. (Literally on the table in major cities.)
Here’s the dumb news: World of Warcraft’s developers have revealed at this point that the Bronze-Tinted Sunglasses, the big new cosmetic item that was released with the anniversary event, can only be used for transmog during the anniversary. If you bought them so that you could finally be wearing something approaching glasses on your character, sorry about the 200 badges you spent on them.
Correct, the Bronze-Tinted Sunglasses are only transmoggable during each year's WoW Anniversary event. https://t.co/wNQhhXuIEa

Great way to skill up on Cooking if it’s low. But boy…one has to grind a lot of turkeys to get the full benefits of that. /bleh
Look! it’s MOP poster TomTurtle! :-D
<3
Thank you, comrade-developers, for reminding us the perils of decadence and setting firm limits on what a loyal party member can wear on any given day that shines on glorious mother azeroth! /salute
Achievements in wow are fairly meaningless, sure you get Achievement points..which in themselves mean nothing but without some nice unlocks through them like goodies and titles and all that good stuff were used to from other games then they are just number vapor.
the time limit on the transmog is total BS..douche move Blizzard
*Scratches Corgi Pup’s ears*
And that’s why I bought you instead, yes I did! Who’s my good boy year round? That’s right, you are!
*Ahem* I’m all for fun, but Funcom turned TSW into a silly clown parade and killed the atmosphere, so it’s nice to see at least a little restraint from another dev.
I’m not one for clown shows in my games, but I’m pretty sure that if I ever get to attend a real gathering of unkillable psychopaths with super powers that at least one of them will be wearing a unicorn head and a bathrobe.
Sheesh, and I was bummed when I realized the 13% rep/xp bonus token we got was only usable during the event…. but the sunglasses. Way to nerf harmless fun Blizzard.
Meanwhile in ffxiv i can fly around on a glowwing whisper mount wearing a platekini too, a dq slime hat and jeans all dyed blue to match my undyavle helmet thus preventing skittles..Bonus points fir plate mankinis
Blizzard embrace player fun and customization already please
The game is decidedly silly I don’t know why they really care when and when you can’t do these things.
Yeah, just the starter zones have more pop culture references than I can fathom.
Well, at least this seems consistent with other holiday cosmetics only working during whatever holidays.
Ah, wtf Blizz. I love those stupid glasses :(
