As usual, the diligent folks of Reddit compiled a few bits of relevant summarizing information during and after the stream. Of note: Housing storage furnishings cannot be crafted but must be purchased through crowns, mediators, or Tel Var merchants, but can also be obtained through the new Level Up Advisor once you reach level 18. Awards of this sort are also account-wide rather than character-based, so your second character won’t benefit from the same advantages. Check out the full stream below to see the content in action.

I’m not sure if it would be worth it for me to scrap my lvl 32 main to start over for the leveling ‘benefits’. Admittedly I wish I had an adviser to start with. Only yesterday I learned how to increase my inventory space, and last week I learned I was supposed to be leveling my mount too. Thankfully I had the foresight to watch a couple hours of beginner guides on YouTube so I wasn’t completely clueless, meaning I lvl edit my skills first and now I’m filling out the passive so I got that right. I still do not comprehend Mundus Stones or charging your weapons up.
What does “mediator” mean?
The master writs vendor
I’m hype if house storage means additional storage overall and not just access to the bank.
And proper costume system for gear? YAY! Please be good and unlock appearances as you find them for use whenever, and don’t make us hold onto all types of random gear.
Been wanting to get back into this for a while now, and with my shiny new monitor (900p to 2k!) the game (and well, a LOT of other games too) looks bloody gorgeous. May try to go back to a controller setup without mods, while I love mods and they make it a much less frustrating experience dealing with the UI etc., the game just “feels” better with a gamepad for some reason.
The house storage is separate from the bank and you can unlock up to 360 slots depending on the size of your house and the amount of chests that you have.
The appearance system uses the motifs that you know and are account wide so you can use the styles learned by any of your characters.
Pretty excited about this update!
Interesting, guess I’ll have to actually go find a bigger house and start putting stuff in it.
I’ve never looked much into the motif system, but if that’s the case guess I’ll have to do a bit of a deep dive on it. I feel like I have a few of them already, but I’ve not put a ton of effort into crafting (which is where you get them, IIRC?).
Thanks for the info, very helpful!
The outfit system is very limiting compared to other games. I wish it was a true transmog system where all you needed was a piece of gear to use its appearance.
Unfortunately collecting motifs = huge grind.
They are obtained from rare drops and other grind systems like crafting writs.
And of course, the real reason why outfits use motifs is because they are sold in the cash shop at a very high cost in real money. $20- $50 for one motif.
I don’t collect motifs so the outfit system is useless for me.
Heh, I know motifs are super monetized, but I’m still pretty alright given that you can get them in-game as well. I know I have a ton I used already and a some more sitting in my bank because I can’t use them yet (well… I think, it’s been a while since I last checked).
Even if it’s limiting, it’s still better than nothing. Definitely prefer it to what we have now – which is either using my janky looking gear or one of the handful of appearance sets I’ve unlocked in-game.
You can also find them in barrels and chests.
Aye, I do recall. Just hard to constantly loot those without sub status due to limited inventory space. But hot damn do I loot FUCKING EVERYTHING whenever I sub back to the game. That doubled storage and, more importantly, crafting materials bag is amazing. I’d seriously drop like $50 alone to unlock crafting bag permanently.
reading that had me excited… but then i read this:
Now im just disappointed.
