Celebrate City of Heroes’ 14th anniversary in Paragon Chat this April

City of Heroes fans, heads-up: The Paragon Chat folks and the people behind HERC are already carving out time in April to celebrate what would’ve been the game’s 14th anniversary.

There’s just a save-the-date post and a graphic up on the forums right now, but last year’s event was a blast. Participants piled into Paragon Chat (which is in fact a partial game client, not just chat) for races, minigames, trivia, and costume contests. Yes, you can roll a character, tour the city, and even make use of all the old travel skills.

See you on April 28th!

And here’s our stream of last year’s fun:

I’ve not joined these celebrations but I do miss CoX very much. Me getting that many characters to level cap (5 of 72+) was crazy for me until I had 7 at cap when the SWTOR cap was 55. Far from perfect but I still loved the game.

Gotta love the post deletions 24/7. Either stick to the status quo or get your post deleted.

Amazing. Im almost done here. The constant censorship on posts mods dont agree with is borders on absurd at this point.

Oh, are you back on your “I get to tell other people how to be fans of their games” bullshit? You do this on every CoH post you can, and you get smacked down for it every time. Stop playing the martyr and stop being an asshole.

Its of my opinion that constantly mourning over a game, a game that has been dead for years and that was already pretty much dead when it was still live, is unhealthy. I know that’s not a popular OPINION for CoH fans, but again, you don’t have to agree with it.

Shame its gone , I often wonder if there a popular emulator like some other games get after their demise .

I’d love to join in Paragon Chat, but I just can’t. Logging in to Atlas Park without the actual game would just be sad… Just me personally. For those of you who do want to I hope you have fun!

While its neat that the community can still get together like this, I think that its probably sending companies the message that its ok to shut down populated games, because players will still make due with whatever they can.
