This definitely reminded me that I want to play Rimworld! I keep waiting for it to go on sale on Steam but it never does.

I can’t believe my stupid email found its way to your podcast, i honestly sent it thinking you’ll never read it in a podcast, so thank you :-)

And again, if you made MOP real lockbox, i’ll buy one, but you should provide a key too :-D and i don’t mean the box should contain something, i’m expecting empty box.

It needs to be full of useless tatt. That way it’ll be a true lockbox.

I was subbed to SWL for a while and getting the free daily keys, but every time I used one to open a Cache I felt dirty. While in GW2 I got a whole bunch of keys from personal story chapters & map completions & occasionally even as loot drops, but it seemed like 99.9% of what I got from Black Lion Chests was always junk so opening them was generally more of a disappointment than a reward.

I’ve never thought of Relics in Warframe as lockboxes, but I guess they could qualify? The differences being that they can’t be bought, you get loads of them just by playing the game, and rather than using keys you open them by doing specific missions. Also you know exactly what 6 items you have a chance of getting from each one and the rough percentage chance of getting each item, and you can use an in-game currency to boost your chances of getting one of the rarer items.
