Fortnite ups the ante with ‘teams of 20’ mode

Ladies and germs, we are now in the final days of this seemingly unstoppable arms race between battle royale titles. Please spend some extra time with your loved ones because we do not know what tomorrow may bring.

Actually, we do. It’s a 20v20v20v20v20 mode for Fortnite called “Teams of 20.” The free update coming on March 8th will pit five teams of 20 players each against each other in what can only be called “crazy to the max” if you’ve traveled back in time to the 1990s.

This will be one of several “limited-time modes” that Epic Games is experimenting with as alternate versions of the classic Battle Royale mode. Other ideas in the works include a shorter Blitz Mode and another 50v50 match.

Get a look at the insanity of “Teams of 20” in the game’s latest trailer below!

I am so sick of seeing “Top 1 player fortnite blah blah” all over youtube. I don’t even watch any pubg or fortnite crap. This game seems so forced.

The time line for this whole debacle is that Tencent (who owns Epic) tried to buy out Bluehole after PUBG went viral, Bluehole refused to sell, several weeks later the Chinese government threw an embargo on PUBG getting a full launch in China (still technically Early Access or something over there), and less than a month after that Fortnight was a F2P BR title with global media coverage promoting the game.

Nah, I am sure that you are just imagining that every bit of this game’s publicity and promotion is part of a paid media saturation from a jilted conglomerate who is trying to crush a rival that refused to kneel to them.

I hear you.

In order to evade the fads on YouTube set your country content to a country irrelevant to you, like for example I’m in Bulgaria, but my content is set to Singapore so I don’t have to see my country’s shameful garbage every time I load up YouTube. You can do the same, try some SEA country or an African one.

You’ll thank me later.

P.S. Results are also based on your activity so you can’t really blame YouTube for your activity.
