EverQuest II teases a change to its monthly moonlight enchantments event

Fey mushroom rings are sprouting all over EverQuest II, marking the return of the monthly Moonlight Enchantments event. This one-day-only event comes and goes every 20th and 21st of the month. What’s interesting with this recurrence is that Daybreak is hinting that there might be a change with this event come April.

“Though the rings have appeared as usual this month, we’ve got a peculiar feeling that something new may be involved the next time around,” the studio teased.

Additionally, the studio is running a spring screenshot contest through March 29th. Players who enter a winning submission could win 1,000 Daybreak Cash, which we assume can be used as a down payment on a car or home.

Its always news when EQ2 offers new content, especially for their “events”. Its the same rehashed content every day for a decade with a few more housing items as rewards.

Horrible company for what used to be the best MMO on the market.

People still like it and that’s good to hear, for me though; i completely agree with you, EQ2 at launch till about 2008ish was by far, hands down, no contest, without a doubt the best mmo on the market.

Unfortunately wow came along and really ripped the rug out from under soe. Which is a shame because wow not only destroyed EQ2 in the long run it pretty much f*cked over the entire genre.

I’ll admit a time-locked sucked me in and OMG was it ever nice. EQ2 was designed around harder content, longer mob battles, slower speeds, the world felt huge, the game felt so right again.

To actually enter Blackburrow and new a crew OMFG it doesn’t get any better than this.

The immersion was huge, it felt like an adventure game again, Antonica felt larger then the planet, to look out over the horizon and even contemplate making it to Bramble woods from coldwind point literally felt froth with adventure and danger… I was in heaven…

Then some speed leveler flew by on his rainbow mount… and it was over.
