I’ve never specifically checked or unchecked any boxes, either opting-in or opting-out, I just haven’t gotten anything from past games … I’ll give a pass to CoH/CoV and EnB, but on those same lines, I’ve never heard anything from NCSoft or EA Games. Nothing from DAoC (or Mythic or Broadsword), WoW (or Blizzard considering their drop from 12M to 4.5M), Anarchy Online, Secret World (or Funcom), or Wildstar (or Carbine). Certainly nothing from FFXIV or any of the Trion games. I’ve spent some cash on Guild Wars 2, Elder Scrolls Online, and Warframe but not a peep when I stop logging in. And this doesn’t even touch on the games I’ve betaed but never logged in for the release …

I’ve only ever gotten incentives to come back from one game, which is World of Tanks/Warships. I do get emails from various others like Trove, Rift, FFXIV, but those are really just marketing new store offers more than anything else. (Trove does at least notify of special login promos but not reliably.)

I hear stories from friends about how they get offered a free month of WoW every year or so, but I’ve never gotten any such thing. It has nothing to do with opting out of emails, they just never get sent to me from most companies.

Thanks for choosing that UO soundtrack Justin, i love it, and it is really unfortunate that many people have issue with UO/EA accounts, i wanted to watch a stream for UO, but i think making 3 accounts is absurd, so MJ .. no pressure, wait until the solve the problems they have.

And thanks to MJ stream; i’m enjoying a new MMO, Revelation Online, i thought i’ll just install it for screenshots but i’m staying for more, honestly there is so much i can’t understand, the systems feel complex, but maybe i need just some times to learn them.
