Elder Scrolls Online’s Razum-dar tours the high and low places of Summerset’s Alinor

When ZeniMax was hyping Elder Scrolls Online’s Morrowind campaign, it utilized the snarky Dunmer assassin Naryu Virian as the narrator for guiding the player through it (and its marketing materials). For Summerset, our host is Khajiit Razum-dar, and he’s the star of today’s ESO video as he wanders the low and high places of Alinor, capital of the Aldmer province of Summerset. If you squint, you can even catch a glimpse of members of several of the factions outlined in the dev blog yesterday.

Razum-dar also knows where to buy the best drinks because of course he does. Enjoy!

Any news on whether he’s ridden a guar naked through any of their temples yet?

I like Razum-dar.

Did you guys notice that most quests in TESO are somehow for rogues? It might be just me, but I think if most missions done proper they are much more fit stealth/spy/operative style than anything else.

Ironically, there’s actually one Dark Brotherhood quest where if you do stealth it, it bugs out. Not to spoil too much but you’re supposed to listen to a speech by the bad guy before offing him – if you stealth in really well and Blade-of-Woe him in the back, it breaks the encounter and you have to abandon and restart.

Or maybe they’ve fixed it… I did raise a bug report about that one :)

Minor 7 year old spoiler
I could have sworn Razum-dar died during the Aldmeri Dominion quests. It was an option to either save him or save some important artifact. I picked the artifact and he seemingly died, only to reappear later with no explanation and no role in the plot.

What was up with that? Did I miss some plot point? At the time I thought it was a bug but Summerset suggests it was intended.

It was intended.

You have the option to kill him in Reaper’s March, but even if you kill him he magically comes back to life afterwards, I’ve killed him with one of my characters yet he re-appeared when I did the Gold Coast questline. It’s just really lazy writing if you ask me, they should’ve changed the quest it makes absolutely no sense.

That’s not right. If you chose to “let him die” he escapes nevertheless. But you don’t have to hear him insult you, because you did the right thing after his mind…

Yeah, that seems like a bit of a cop-out. I like ESO but often its “you get to make major choices” thing is more theory than practice.

You can choose to let him die early on in the last AD zone. However, at the end he shows up anyway with a “Hah! You thought I was dead! I’m not!” That is IF you talk to him and don’t just go-go-go to the next thing mindlessly. As someone who cried over that decision, I cried again when he showed up at the end again. I mean, it is pretty in-character for Raz anyway.
