Bless Online shows off the Paladin’s healing abilities in new video

Bless Online’s YouTube channel may have inexplicably deleted itself last week, but that doesn’t mean the team has stopped putting out videos.

“In addition to the original paladin class combat video, the community would like one that shows the paladin exercising their healing abilities,” Neowiz says. “Our community would also like to see the healer paladin and all the classes together in group combat (party play). As a result, we have decided to quickly put together this extra Dev Talk to satisfy your curiosity! Included in this Dev Talk is a video that shows the paladin’s healing abilities and some group party play. As with the previous videos, this was also taken in a developmental environment and is therefore not reflective of the final game. However, we hope that through this video you will be able to gain a better understanding of the game and its combat mechanics.”

Bless is still slated to launch in the west later this month. Enjoy!

In a couple of months when the last 10 gankers remain online on their last server and they decide to open up a pbe server then i might start watching some videos to possible get hyped!

Open world PVP will attract the lowest of the low in the mmorpg playerbase. The gankers. That is what has killed many mmorpgs. A PVP based title is doomed to be niche. That’s why ALL big title games have both pve, and pvp servers. And it’s always the pve servers that fill up. The majority of people do NOT like open world pvp. It’s NOT fun.

That’s probably why this title already failed in other countries.

The aspect that would draw me in the most is their insanely-fun sounding feature of catching and taming pets and mounts. But open-world PvP turns me off so hard, that I know I’d never get a chance to enjoy exploring the taming feature combined with my love of exploration. I’m so tired of gankers and griefers in these games. I don’t even consider them PvPers, and they’re what turns me off to PvP-featured games now, no matter how beautiful the MMO is.

I was excited about this a few months ago so decided to join the Discord and see about getting to know the community. What I found was a group of people that had been playing on the Japanese servers who were intent on sucking the fun out of the game for others. Really put me off.

That along with the fact that everyone that’s already played the other versions of the game has come out of that experience saying that it’s not great makes me hold off on investing my time.

The Discord is good for answering questions or setting up the JP version. But for general chat they’re pretty toxic. I made a comment about how if the game released on Memorial Day weekend it would be a bad idea and inconvenience a lot of NA players. I literally only said “I hope” it doesn’t release that weekend, and several players went on a long tirade.

But the subreddit and the official Steam forums are pretty nice people, so I’d stick with those two communities and you’ll be fine. Don’t let a handful of people turn you off of an entire community.

Please don’t suck. Please don’t suck.

Sorry, but it’s predestined to suck.

It’s a Korean MMO.

I’ve yet to play a one that didn’t suck. Not a one.

You may very well be right but this game does have a lot of elements I like , factions , world pvp , instanced pvp , dungeons and raids so given its the first one that has all that in what seems to be a long time and for want of anything better I will give it a try .

Does it come with HACKS and CHEATS?

Korean MMO’s have been client side so they suffered that ‘curse’. Examples:
Black Desert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jrQCo8mQAo
Archeage:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZOQuaXFBJI&t=4s

and, of course, Bless Online:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxG8igBdLXc

And I know every PC game has hacks and cheats, but you can wait for the company to solve the problems if the game runs server-side. Do you remember Trion’s problems with Archeage?

Guild Wars 2 also had a huge cheating problem as recently as a couple years ago, though here is an old vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCSYfJZNYLY

Don’t generalize because you just come off as an asshole. Not every Korean developer is the same nor is every Korean MMO. It’s fine if you don’t like it, but don’t demonize a game we haven’t seen yet.

I wish they didn’t have that problems.
And I explain why they have those problems: in Korea you play with your really ID so it’s more likely that you will not use hacks and cheats. So they can get better games if they can count with honest clients.

We have already suffer that problem and it’s logic to warn people. You invest time and money to lvl, and then you realize that there are other players using those tools… it’s not a good thing.

Maybe you should give up online gaming all together if that is such a concern to you xanadox . It goes with the territory unfortunately .

Maybe. When I find out that there are cheating tools, in PVP games, I start to give them up.
Are there cheats to play on console’s MMOs?

Some of the best game have been Korean MMO’s, while there have been plenty of Western MMO’s that have sucked.

Reader
Duey Bear

Black Desert, Aion, Cabal, Blade and Soul just off the top of my head are on par with some of the best western MMOs.

Duey, this helps me out. I couldn’t stand any of those games.

0:09 – that’s some really jerky camera panning right there. And for some reason that worries me more for the state of this game than perhaps it should.

I think it’s already known this game has performance issues. I can deal with it if it isn’t too crippling.

Reader
Vincent Clark

It’s 2018, as consumers we shouldn’t have to “deal” with poor game performance.

Half of MMO gamers are still using 2007 PCs. Half of those are laptops. We are at fault for this ourselves.

Reader
thirtymil

To be fair, the laptops aren’t a problem provided they have a decent graphics card in them. The mobile GPUs are slower than the desktop equivalents certainly, but not by much.

Reader
Solaris

I know better, but I actually hope this game is fun.

Reader
Chosenxeno .

After years of healing in Fabulous Gowns and Sarongs I will finally get to don some plate.

Reader
Leiloni

Have you never played a game with a Paladin or Cleric healer before? They’re so insanely common I find that hard to believe.

Reader
Duey Bear

This is the first game I played where the plate healer is actually used for healing and not tanking.

Reader
Leiloni

WoW Holy Paladin, Neverwinter Paladin? I know there are more. Not to mention the chain Cleric in Aion of course.

Reader
Duey Bear

Barely played WoW (not enough like Runescape), and I’ve only seen Pally tanks in Neverwinter (but again, not super familiar, all the other games I’ve played, it’s cloth healers.

Reader
Chosenxeno .

Clerics usually wear Chain not plate(BAM!) and I simply have never played a Paladin Healer:)
