WRUP: Moving forward, there are going to be some changes around this prison edition

New prison rule #1: No one is to use “shiv” as a verb any more. Last month there was a big debate over whether or not someone was shivved or just stabbed and we want to avoid that in the future.

New prison rule #2: Just because you’re in jail doesn’t mean that you can’t display a standard of culture, so we are instituting a new mandatory ballroom dancing class for all prisoners running for two hours. We’ll have a rotating schedule for that.

New prison rule #3: Please consult with the guards before enacting your escape plan. We’re not going to stop you, we just want to be able to time dramatically running down the hall at the last moment so that everyone is very excited.

New prison rule #4: The ballroom dancing class has been cancelled. Yeah, we realized that was never a good idea. Finishing school visiting hours are still on.

New prison rule #5: Let the guards know What Are You Playing and whether or not they will need to break up any arguments over cigarettes which may result from it. We don’t want any more arguments over cigarettes. You shouldn’t be smoking anyhow, it’s bad for you.

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Actually, I’m a volunteer at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, so not much gaming beyond Pokemon Go on Sunday. So much Squirtle Squad hype! Also, no spoilers, but the My Hero Academia movie premier made me feel things. Careful who you watch it with this fall!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Not Guild Wars 2? I’ll probably play some Trove, and maybe I’ll get a chance to dip into Project Gorgon this weekend. Last weekend I didn’t get to play anything at all, which broke my momentum/pattern a bit, and this week I’ve been swamped in work and kinda just don’t want to sit in this desk anymore, heh. We’ll see.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): There’s Heaven-on-High farming and such to do in Final Fantasy XIV, I’m actually getting pretty close to the fabled high-level rank in Granblue Fantasy, and I have so many single-player games competing for my attention. So I have lots of options.

Matt Daniel (@Matt_DanielMVOP): I think I’m going to be jumping back into Final Fantasy XIV to check out Heaven-on-High and get caught up on my story quests, thanks to some prompting from Eliot. Aside from that, I’ve recently rolled up a fresh Monster Hunter World character with some friends of mine (just in time, coincidentally, for the MHW-FFXIV crossover that pits hunters up against FF’s Behemoth), and this time I’ve resolved to use only weapons I’m not already familiar with; I’ve never touched the bow in the entirety of my Monster Hunter career, so I reckon I’ll be trying my hand at archery and probably getting brutally murdered by some big nasties in the process.

MJ Guthrie (@MJ_Guthrie, blog): As I am at TennoCon this weekend, pretty much all my time will be spent immersed in Warframe. Not that I’d even have the time, but I can’t log in and play anything else anyway since my laptop’s power cord is back home on my desk.

Patron Pierre: Destiny 2 and State of Decay 2 for me this weekend. I’m tempted to do another playthrough of the Uncharted games on PS4 (starting from 1 and going all along to 4 and even to the Lost Legacy episode), we’ll see… On the MMO front, Eliot has tempted me a lot with his CMA on Final Fantasy XI. FFXI was my very first MMO and nostalgia hits me harder with this one than with any other MMO. But it will eat up so much of my time… Time will tell if I yield. :D Enjoy your gaming weekend dear MOP readers!

I’m a day late posting this. But I have a good reason. I started playing FFXI with a friend, and it’s the MMO equivalent of a black hole. It just devoured my weekend and I don’t know where all the time went.

Day 1 was spent just installing/updating the game, configuring Windower and my choice addons/plugins, and importing all of the maps from FFXIclopedia. Then when we were finally in-game, it took a lot of time to write up all our macros, consolidate our inventories, and reconcile with our quest and mission progression. My friend hadn’t played since the update that let you teleport between home points, so we spent time traveling around the world just collecting them. There were some new crystals and books even I hadn’t gotten, too.

We did a couple missions over the weekend, but then I introduced my friend to the Records of Eminence stuff, and we both had a great many rewards to claim retroactively.

It was all great fun, though. I managed to play a little Persona 5 and we took breaks to play some Rocket League and R6: Siege, but mostly FFXI just engulfed us.

Destiny 2 and Assassin’s Creed Origins.

Playing Destiny 2 a lot less than I used to: the Warmind expansion took a gigantic crap on solo players like myself; so while I still quite enjoy the gameplay itself, after I finish the weekly flashpoint on all of my characters, the rest is usually just pointless busywork. The endless rerunning of the story campaign was garbage, but at least it was a way that solo players had at their means to making playing after the flashpoint meaningful. Maybe this will get fixed with the expansion this fall, we’ll see.

ACO is fun: it’s the first AC game I’ve managed to play longer than 30 minutes of, so that’s promising. I’m finding it strange that there doesn’t seem to be any sort of modern day story, as my impression was that the historical story is supposed to be some big VR simulation that someone is present day is going through in order to find out some information about something; but maybe they dumped that part from the series. Anyhoo, it’s enjoyable so far: feels a lot like a slowed down version of Horizon Zero Dawn, so I can probably get into that.

Have a safe weekend folks.

I’m still playing World of Warcraft, leveling a Demon Hunter in preparation for BfA. It’s a really fun and well designed clsss and I’m glad I finally put some time into it. It’s going to be difficult going back to classes without double jump and glide.

I doubt I’ll have time as it’s a busy weekend, but I’d also like to play a little more of Bioshock. The gameplay is starting to feel repetitive (says the guy who loves MMOs) but I really want to see where the story is going.

Bioshock‘s story is what sets it apart from many other games, at least in my opinion.

The story isn’t always flawless, but I found it compelling throughout.

I found Bioshock Infinite interesting also. I didn’t enjoy it as much as the original game, but I wasn’t sorry that I played it. I can’t say much more without risking spoilers, so I’ll stop here.

Enjoy!

After six years, GW2 finally has it’s claws in me, specifically Path of Fire. Also, gonna check out Path of Exile on a friend’s recommendation.

Fallen Earth, Hots, trying my hand at a SWG pserver. Bit rough game but it seems fun as hell.

DRAWING!

So, i draw a lot in the bus when i’m going to my psychologist. I deal with a bit of anxiety when i leave my house, so it helps a lot. Also, it’s really fun that i’m again, rediscovering my love for this crap for an entire year. Hope for more to come.

The suit dude and the knife dude are the drawings i did on the bus. The goblin is my mercenary soldier that opens a trading company when he goes older, pretty rough dood. The werewolf girl is a character from a old friend that i love a lot ( the character and the friend ) and i did this for her birthday. It’s a WIP, i’ll still finish.

The pencil one with the yellow page is a drawing i did in my sketchbook. I’m doing a lot of those to fill with ideas for scenes for a HQ or something.

Edit/Note: It wasn’t my intention to display this again…but link it quietly back to the original post that held my image, so Mr. Bruno could see it for himself at his discretion. And this is what I got.

…or tl, dr: I was asking for a Shirley Temple and was given Frankenstein’s monster instead. So my extreme apologies for spamming this once again, especially on someone else’s gallery. :(

Raid, raid, and more raid. I recently joined a new guild on ESO PC/EU and the honeymoon is being great. Never despair when you find yourself in a sad situation with your current guild, it may seem the end of the world especially if you’re attached to its people and values, but there are always nice decent people around, with room for your friends.

This week: I think I over extended my pigtails in Internet Warlording this past 24 hours or so. Time kick those said appendages back and enjoy some gaming. With some WoWstar here. And a bit of LynStar there.

Have a great week and weekend folks! <3

I suspect Bruno means “Please, don’t give up this easily” :-)

Well…

…you know, there is something to be said about spirited individuals who have their facts and positions straight and understand a degree of tact. I must admit though, my pigtails and I do need considerable polish in the latter department. :(

Kiiinda, i like Mana’s way of being a fierce person.

Internet Warlording is something i advice avoiding doing it tho.

When i said “don’t go to this light” i meant: “Don’t be another Smart, please.”

Mana’s too good to become a new Smart, and we need less Warlords.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, Bruno!

Did a beefy RP in FFXIV today and a little Heaven on High.

Currently sitting in queue for the weekly Saturday evening Rival Wings community effort, but it’s looking like it might be a bust this week. I guess the allure of the new and shiny HoH is too strong.

Doing my best to survive the heat (a friend gave me a bamboo carbon fibre cooling towel as a solstice gift, and it’s brilliant) and avoid foot-to-ball discussion, playing a bit of SWL (apparently the Shem of Rage not dropping from Hatekeeper is a bug that’ll be fixed next week) and Driftland, and playing lots of Warframe! (…when the servers aren’t crashed by 300k+ people trying to log in at once after TennoLive.)

Right now, trying to reassemble the scattered pieces of my mind after it was blown by Warframe’s Fortuna & Railjack reveals:
“Making peace to build our future,
Strong, united, working till we fall.”

Oh god, many things. Modding Skyrim Special Edition, but will I play? Trying to play Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition. Tried again to play TES Arena modded haha. Modded up Dragon Age: Origins, likely to a good enough level (except for one giant mod that I consider too overhauling of the intended design; maybe down the line). Looking into modding DA2 and especially DAI, particularly for fixes because wow the bugs. Edit: And daily SWL event logs for all 3 characters. Basically done. Not really, but close enough.
