Betawatch: Camelot Unchained reaches the green fields of beta (August 3, 2018)

Like a boss.

Someone break out the “It’s Happening” image, because Camelot Unchained has entered its beta testing at long last! Yes, ti may have been delayed several times, but it’s still made that all-important leap to beta. Good work, Camelot Unchained! We’re all super proud of you.

In other beta news, there’s a bullet list. It’s coming right for us!

All of that sounds fun! This is fun. It’s a fun industry. Why not have some fun checking out our list down below, or letting us know if something is marked incorrectly down in the comments? That means we can fix that up, which is also fun.

As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions.

The hard part is over… now the easy stuff. Convert to 64 bit code. Create all the remaining classes. First run on class balance. Make remaining siege engines. Test siege warfare along with player contribution. Test and reform building destruction. Create caravans and all their related components. Create the bounty system. Create and test player sales stalls. Create and test Order mechanics. Create and test the veil mechanics. Etcetera… a very long list.

Easy street, all the easy stuff… :)

Later we can work on other stuff like the Depths etc…

Any pve in the game still revolves around pvp so dont go if you arent totally into pvp. I know they said this in the faq but I think it needs to be stated up front and clear. Its not a pve game.
