ArcheAge is turning four years old in the west with events and a fun infographic

ArcheAge has made it to four years here in the west, and Trion has big plans – including an event and a sub sale – to celebrate the occasion.

“Ringing in ArcheAge’s birthday, players will be able to partake in the Water Gun Festival Event, where they can compete up to three times a day in order to earn Kyrios Badges and Hiram Infusions. Also running during the celebration is the free labor event, where players can get a free 500 labor pot each day from 9/12-9/26! Both events require players to be level 30 to participate. An APEX sale will round out the remainder of what’s on tap for players, allowing them to buy five APEX at the standard price ($9.99) and get one for free, or buy ten APEX and get a bonus three!”

The playerbase is currently awaiting the release of the 5.0 patch, Relics of Hiram, later this year, but in the meantime, they can feast their eyes on the game’s anniversary infographic, which boasts of 5.6M characters created (over 200,000 are max level). My favorite stat, however, is the number of player trials held: almost a million. Ahh, MMO justice systems.

They just don’t tell you 3/4 of these numbers were generated by bots.

This infographic had more work put on it than the entire game.

It seems like it’s been an Age since AA released! Gosh I loved it in alpha and held onto the reigns for a good year after. I was one of the early alpha testers due to running a blog about AA. When they focused everything on PvP and P2W, that’s when I finally let go.

Sometimes I try to explain pre-1.0 to people. It’s so night/day different that I feel like no amount of just explaining will ever do it justice.

I swear it feels like this game came out much longer ago than 4 years.

If little ole me is allowed to have my very own MOP Anniversary, this game is relevant to that: it was during the betas for this game that I became acquainted with MJ and many other Minions here who were in the beta at the time. :P

Yup was in alpha myself thanks to my pal Scott Hartsman. BTW one of those trials was mine. 😈
