Secret World Legends previews the Stonehenge Occult Defence Scenario in a new video

Last week (and during DragonCon), Funcom teased a new scenario type for Secret World Legends that had everybody buzzing because of its focus on defense. Today, we’ve gotten another peek into just what’s in store via a brand-new video published on Twitter featuring the the Stonehenge Occult Defence Scenario that’s “coming soon.”

“Your mission: Prevent waves of simulated enemies from destabilizing an occult focus and destroying Stonehenge. Fight against endless waves of enemies by yourself or with a friend! How far will you get?”

The difference between the new scenario and the existing Seek and Preserve scenario is that players won’t be rescuing survivors or dealing with downtime intermissions. As MOP’s Chaos Theory columnist MJ Guthrie wrote last week, we already know that internal feedback on the mode has been “overwhelmingly positive.” Stay tuned for more, and check out the video in the meantime!

If I’m not fighting Templars and The Blue Man Group then it isn’t Stonehenge.

I’m a little jealous of new SWL players…it only took them a year to see the writing on the wall instead of five like the rest of us.

I was very lucky, i never got into the original, too busy, other games. After the revamp i gave it a go, met the right peeps and literally downed 5 years of SWL game content all endgame content too) in i dunno about 8 months? something like that.

I’m not even sure why i walked at that point, wasn’t upset with the game, thought i’d always return on new content and end game content ofc, but that’s looking highly unlikely now.

God, that voice. Did they just get a random unpaid intern to do it? What was wrong with the previous professional female voiceover?

Ahh TSW. The game that might have been…

Agreed, an amazing game for solo and group players, yet largely ignored by Funcom?

When i read scenario, i thought what Brother Maynard mentions above. That’s the easiest thing in the game for them to do an intern could handle that, sounds and looks like it too. Come on Funcom, you can do better than this.

I’m rather excited for more news on this! Especially with the Halloween season coming up. It’s been a personal tradition to sub a month or two during this time to get immersed into my favorite holiday.

Halloween is a good time in SWL for sure.

Wait. Is this the Stonehenge pvp map, without the pvp, but with a endless stream of PvE enemies? After months without content?

Yeah, no. Wake me up when they introduce Fusang.

The stone structures are from the Cat God dungeon, not the PvP map.

I love TSW but the speed they put out content is terrible. We got the morning light update in April. Now it’s September and we have a single scenario coming with no other major announcements. If they expect people to pay for subs or to keep playing the game they’re definitely going to have to dial it up.

They’ve announced in their last earnings call that they’re focused on holidays and small repeatable content and that SWL won’t have new story content on the horizon. I think they should really communicate this to their audience…

OUCH for SWL players, kinda glad i walked when i did.

A good portion of the endgame diehard’s i played with, which i’m still grateful for meeting, was such a memorable fun time rocking SWL endgame to the core, but i’m getting updates saying hey i’m playing this now if you ever drop in .

I got one, then weeks later another, then another, i can’t believe their moving on to other mmo’s which tbh i’d never thought i’d see the day. As in literally never.

They played the original from launch, went though the conversion, they never gave up, unreal. I’m too into Warframe, two of them tried Warframe for a spell, didn’t take for them, i said that’s ok, Warframe never clicked hard for me a t first either, see you soon ;) lol

If they did that they would have even less of an audience.
