Murkmire cometh to The Elder Scrolls Online, and ZeniMax has a preview of the DLC up today to entice players into the swamp along its main questline to find a lost historical artifact from Argonian culture.

“With Murkmire, you’ll be able to explore an all-new zone located on the southern coast of Black Marsh. As you venture into this new world, you’ll navigate through knee-deep swamps and dense, living jungles, encountering incredible stilt houses, long-forgotten temples, and crumbling Imperial ruins. In this new zone, you’ll be able to experience the mysterious Saxhleel (known to the rest of Tamriel as the Argonians) as you explore the deepest depths of the marsh and uncover secrets never before revealed about the nature of the relationship between the Argonian tribes and their sacred Hist trees. As you travel across this new world, you’ll encounter new challenges and dangers, including unique world bosses, delves, quests, and more. Of course, this new zone is also filled with riches, such as new item sets, furnishings, styles, collectibles, and more. The wilds of Black Marsh are teeming with life and many hidden dangers, but it is also a world of great opportunity for those who dare uncover its secrets.”

There’s more to the DLC, of course, including the Blackrose Prison arena and destrucible architecture in the Cyrodiil RvR map. The sideloading freebie update 20 has fresh tweaks of its own to the housing editor, the character selection screen, class balancing – and yeah, it’s got those promised music boxes!

I am seriously impressed with all these experiments in daily rewards.

They’ve ramped up from ho hum stuff and a couple neat pets to, last month, a whole pile of crates, and now this month a nice outfit and a big pile of gold at the end, and now it says that they’re going to give away this entire new DLC as a daily reward when it launches. There also is a new mount coming sometime soon that it looks like you can get as another daily reward sometime during the Haloween related event.

It’s been a damn long time since I paid any real attention to daily rewards in any game. But this is . . . well, now you have my attention.

Really excited for this one! I was hoping that the new arena would be a 4v4 PvP arena, but oh well, a new PvE arena isn’t bad either! :)
