Fallen Earth is planning on a fresh start server for the future

The long road to revamp and repackage Fallen Earth stretches ahead of new owner Little Orbit, but to the company’s credit, it’s making efforts to whip the post-apocalyptic MMORPG into shape. Part of that effort is in raising the level of communication with the players, and a recent hour-long developer Q&A session certainly helped to accomplish this.

The primary focus right now is to bring the code and software up to spec. “We are not trying to change the mechanics,” the devs said. “This first wave of development is literally just taking the game we love and bringing it up to current standards.”

Players should be aware that Little Orbit is planning on a fresh start server when the game does get back into shape. Progression and premium items will carry over to this server, but otherwise it will be a full wipe of the economy and other items (players will have the option to continue playing on the old shard if they want to, however).

Other topics dicussed included a small anniversary event for the game, the return of monthly subscription rewards, unbanning players who didn’t deserve it, and “making [Fallen Earth] viable again.”
