Warframe’s latest development stream was all about shredding on your K-Drive

When Warframe players get to Fortuna and meet the Vent Kids, they’re not going to be ranked by who has the best weapons. They’re not even going to be ranked by who brings these enthusiasts the most Grineer salvage. No, status among the Vent Kids and their love of K-Drives will be determined entirely by who can do the sickest possible kickflip off a halfpipe. Yes, the latest development stream leaned all in on showing off the game’s K-Drives, better known to casual viewers as totally sweet hoverboards complete with all sorts of rad deck customization.

For those of you who are entirely unable to enjoy the idea of grinding rails on your future hoverboards, there were other things on display as well, like the upcoming Equinox deluxe skin and the quality-of-life changes coming with the game’s major melee improvements. But the big point of interest was, yes, K-Drives. We’re not saying that you should go dig out your copy of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 to prepare for their inclusion, but it probably couldn’t hurt.
