Final Fantasy XIV offers a UI guide and opens up its roleplaying server

It's a boss, and it is deadly.

It wasn’t a feature of the game’s most recent patch, but Final Fantasy XIV did something almost inconceivable yesterday: It opened up Balmung for character creation. Balmung is the game’s unofficial roleplaying server as well as being incredibly populated, stuffed to the brim with players and long kept unavailable for new characters. But now you can make characters there again! Briefly.

That’s hardly the only thing that the game has delivered to its fans, though; the official site has also provided a new comprehensive guide to its UI to help players navigate, customize, and improve their play. There’s also an ongoing sale for optional additional items, including previous anniversary event rewards. It’s not another major patch a day after the first one, but it’s still plenty to entertain and improve the player experience.
