The latest Worlds Adrift update from Bossa Games has declared that the game’s Update 27, which will be bringing an updated new-player experience, new crafting blueprints, and more, will officially be going live on October 9th. Although some players may be somewhat disappointed to hear that the release of Update 27 also comes with a full server wipe, the devs are hoping to assuage the sting of loss by hosting a big send-off event to give a proper sendoff to Update 26 and ring in the new age of Update 27.

The event, which is officially titled the End of an Era Pre-Wipe Event, will take place on Saturday, October 6th, at various times for various servers. The first of the events will take place on the Ten Rui server at 2:00 p.m. EST, and the last will kick off at 6:00 p.m. EST on the Darrat server. For the event, players are invited to take part in “a short race and an open PvP Event to kiss all [their] old ships goodbye.” The first ship across the finish line in the race and the last ship standing in the open PvP event will earn cosmetic prizes that the winning players will be able to keep through the wipe.
