Aion NA plots End of the World event, Aion Japan plans crossover with anime Made in Abyss

It’s the end of the world as we know it in Aion North America, but don’t worry: It’s not a sunset. The villain Ereshkigal prepares to let loose her fury upon the lands of Atreia, irrevocably altering the landscape and destroying entire zones and instances.

But players have one last chance to visit their favorite instanced dungeons before they’re gone for good, and they’ll be handsomely rewarded for doing so. Between now and the release of Aion: Awakened Legacy on October 24th, mobs and bosses in select instances have a chance to drop Apocalyptic Chests, which can contain any of a variety of rewards such as Caeus Weapon and Armor Boxes, Enchantment Stones, and more.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Pacific, Aion Japan (known locally as The Tower of Aion) has announced a unique in-game crossover event with popular anime Made in Abyss. According to a report from MMO Culture, the event is scheduled to begin on October 10th, and although the exact details of the event are still to-be-announced, players can get a look at three new in-game costumes based on Made in Abyss characters Riko, Reg, and Nanachi. So if you happen to be an Aion Japan player and/or a fan of Made in Abyss, keep an eye out for more details on the crossover event in the near future.
