The Stream Team: Busting butt to get Guild Wars 2’s bunny mount

Apparently Massively OP’s MJ had a lot more work ahead of her to obtain her Guild Wars 2 bunny mount than she thought. That isn’t going to deter her though; it just means she has to bust her butt to earn that bunny! But it will be worth all the effort. Join us live at 6:00 p.m. to see if she can manage not only the bunny but a skimmer, too!

I’m confused, why are you just getting a Springer now; I thought you were playing Path of Fire when it released unless I’m mixing you up with Bree?

A shot from the end of the stream from our almost-look-alikes.

That almost looks like a Guild Wars 1 shot by now. How perceptions change over time.

Not sure what you mean. It was taken in PoF.

It looks as dated to me as Guild Wars 1 did when Guild Wars 2 was released. Does this make more sense. Not hating on the game, just a more general observation.

It’s relative. Yes, it’s nowhere near as high res as BDO, but it’s not trying to be. And it certainly doesn’t look like every Unreal 4 game out there (thankfully).

There are a few things going against that shot:

First, I wasn’t really trying. I didn’t remove the blue line around Natalyia, I’m wearing a Super Adventure Box outfit complete with Kirby dot pixels flying off it and I cropped out all the scenery.

A lot of GW2’s graphics comes from that fact that it IS a sequel and they needed to gradually bring those players with their aging computers gently forward into a world that looked better but still similar.

The visuals of the world itself in Elona are amazing, but yeah, the character models aren’t exactly top notch.

Still, it has moments. :) PoF spoilers ahead

Graphics are, in the end, not important for a game, especially a MMO. I’m into Lotro which is very dated and I’d play rather GW2 and Lotro before I touch BDO again.
