ZeniMax Online Studios is hiring for an MMO project based on ‘an exciting new IP’

A new job posting on ZeniMax Online Studios’s career site reveals that the studio is looking to hire a core tech programmer to join the team at its Hunt Valley, Maryland office. Although this normally wouldn’t be a particularly newsworthy piece of information on its own, the posting itself reveals a potentially juicy bit of information: The studio, which is primarily known for its work on The Elder Scrolls Online, is apparently developing a new project based on “an exciting new IP.”

Beyond that, however, the posting doesn’t provide a wealth of information about what this new project could be. What we do know, though, is that the posting asks that applicants have a “strong technical knowledge of Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC,” which would suggest that the project will be coming to PC and consoles alike. The listing also lists “MMO development experience” under the desired skills section, so it’s probably a safe bet that the project is an MMO, though that would seem like a given anyway in light of the studio’s focus on online games. Hopefully we’ll hear more about this mystery project in the near future, but for now, let the speculation commence.
