The World of Warcraft Classic demo has been cracked open and explored (somewhat)

Kate, we have to go back!

It is probably not a surprise that players with access to the World of Warcraft Classic demo download have already cracked open the client and started playing… in a way. YouTuber Dodgy Kebaab has posted a video of running about in the classic client in a sandbox server, which means no quests, no NPCs, no… well, anything. But you can see what the Classic client looks like and compare it to things like private servers, which is relevant.

There are, to be fair, some graphical differences between the client and the classic game, graphical options which didn’t exist at the time, better lighting, and so forth. There is a button to revert the Classic client back to looking like the 2005 version of the game, which is nice for those who want to experience the game in its most true-to-life version. Check out the video below if you’d like to see the demo before you play it as part of the virtual ticket or just get to see more footage of it when people do start playing.
