Modern MMOs are all too often centered around destruction, even if the things being destroyed tend to have it coming, but StikiPixels’s free-to-play title Occupy White Walls is all about creation and creativity, and it’s now available through Steam’s Early Access program. In the game, players are given the opportunity to become curators of their own personal art museums, peruse the collections of other players, and engage in conversations about art, the universe, and everything in a virtual space.
Players are given full creative control over their museums, which can be in “a stately home, a desert, a metro station, in the void of outer space — or all of the above,” as well as over the art that they display within. In addition to a huge library of historical artworks, the game also features pieces submitted by artists within the community, providing a platform for up-and-coming creatives to showcase their talents. But even if you don’t know the first thing about art, Occupy White Walls has got you covered, as its helpful AI companion DAISY is there to help you discover new works you’ll love. You can check out the game for yourself on Steam, but if you want to get an idea of what to expect from this quirky, artsy MMO, you can check out our very own MJ’s Occupy White Walls stream just below.
Is Google’s Museum Views not a better application? I get you get to show your own playlist and post your own work, so to speak, but for an average aficionado I think you’d rather visit real places in far off lands with great works of art. If people want it though…

Oh, man. I’m just waiting for all the museums dedicated solely to the finest selections of pornography.
*Pigtails would like to visit Mr. Schlag’s museum*
This is the most niche game I think I’ve ever come across. Is it a game?
Yeah, the way Second Life is a game.
Sounded more like the Google Application where you can visit museums around the world.
I submit that Ever, Jane is more niche than this.
Ever, Jane imho appeals to the “This is Ironic and therefore Funny” crowd – which isn’t that tiny. Those games do okay on steam and on streams for a few days of release.
This one doesn’t really appeal to that crowd imho. Maybe just people who want to showcase their own art – and in a game setting. Really small set of people I think.
I was waiting for it, downloading as i write this.
Wonder if users can upload their own art as well. That could be very cool, but possibly end up causing problems for the devs…
Sounds like the devs filter the content.
Only the finest of dick picks in this game.
Yep. My first thought on reading the headlines was “This isn’t going to end well.”
