Hi-Rez Expo 2018: SMITE is coming to Nintendo Switch with full cross-platform play

The Battlegrounds of the Gods just got bigger. During the keynote address at Hi-Rez Expo today, Titan Forge Games announced that SMITE is coming to the Nintendo switch. But more than that, folks don’t need to give up their PC or console progress to partake: The MOBA will also have full cross-platform, cross progression play.

But wait, that’s not all! SMITE is not the only title getting the cross-platform treatment; President of Hi-Rez Studios Stew Chisam told me that all games are getting this treatment for current platforms — and all possible future platforms as well. Evil Mojo Games announced that cross-platform play and progression will be a major feature of Paladins‘ upcoming Season 2. And Heroic Leap shared that Realm Royale is now in Closed Beta on Xbox One, with plans to expand the Closed Beta to Playstation 4 very soon.

Back to SMITE on Switch, players can participate in closed beta (which begins on January 24th, 2019) by purchasing the SMITE Founder’s Pack in the Nintendo eShop. This pack contains the Ultimate God Pack (all current and future gods), Dragon Empress Scylla, Dashing Deceiver Loki, and 400 gems to spend on other skins. This pack becomes available for pre-purchase today, November 16th.
