Sara Oakheart. Let me tell you about Sara Oakheart. If you haven’t ever played Lord of the Rings Online, you wouldn’t have a clue, but believe me, you’d end up hating her too if you encountered her.
Sara pops up in a number of quests along the first volume of the epic story as an old lady who — more often than not — requires the player to babysit her as she dodders here and there and everywhere. Her agonizingly slow pace has sent many-a-LOTRO player into screaming fits of “WALK FASTER! I’LL GET YOU A NEW STICK!” But what really seems to spark the hate is that at the end of each escort, Sara then dashes ahead like a marathon sprinter. She was clearly messing with us.
There are plenty of MMO characters who I hate that come to mind, but Sara’s right up there at the top of that list. Tell me yours: Which NPCs do you hate with an undying passion and why? Who are the jerks, the whiny complainers, and the incompetent fools you simply cannot stand?
