Massively OP Podcast Episode 198: Manatee… in… spaaace!

12

On this week’s show, Bree and Justin get dirty with Blizzard, weird with Elite: Dangerous, and hopeful with Legends of Aria. Really, sea cow madness has taken over much of Massively OP right now and you should probably ignore like 98% of it.

It’s the Massively OP Podcast, an action-packed hour of news, tales, opinions, and gamer emails! And remember, if you’d like to send in your own letter to the show, use the “Tips” button in the top-right corner of the site to do so.

Listen to the show right now:

Welcome to aging Justin. ;) In the last ten years my close up vision has declined. So much so that I have a pair of glasses that are designed just for computers/reading. My eye doctor said that close up vision issues should stabilize for me within the next couple years. Even with the computer glasses LotRO is still a pain in the backside to read the quest text.

I just started ESO again yesterday after not playing since March. It feels simultaneously that not much has changed and there is so much to do to catch up. On the character that I’ve decided to focus on, im max level, with next to no questing done I think (too much Dolmen grinding), so I’m a plague doctor lizard druid off for adventures on my fire wolf mount and magic bear sidekick. Excelsior!

Just few minutes ago, before listening to the podcast, i thought maybe i should try ESO? then remembered it is a huge game … maybe another time.

Pre-built PCs are not bad, they’re good enough, maybe add a fan or change them, add a graphic card, add SSD, some of these PCs come with a monitor, which makes them a good deal, and some companies sell gaming PCs, for me i used a local shop here, gave them my budget (which was low) and they gave me a good deal, next day the machine was ready.

I think somebody over at GameInformer has been reading Eliot’s WRUPs.

…love that new PC smell.

Always build if you are able to. Copying a build/guide from a site, like PC Gamer, Tom’s, etc. is a good way to go if you have never done it before.

Hey Justin, welcome to my lotro world. The quest text is something I have been complaining about for years now and it gives me migraines more often than not.

Also I would certainly suggest you check both of MJ’s Star Citizen streams and not just the first one. Things are not going to be plain sailing by any measure and there is still an extremely long journey ahead of you before you see a finished game (I firmly believe longer than I have left in the world).

With any luck Chris Roberts and Derek Smart will be in the same old age home and every morning Derek will knock on Chris’ door and ask if it’s done yet.
