World of Warcraft on stumbling into a woman-dominated cast for Battle for Azeroth

Somebody pull.

If you hadn’t noticed, the cast of this particular World of Warcraft expansion is pretty heavy on the leading ladies. Sylvanas, Jaina, Talanji of the Zandalari, Azshara, Tyrande… pretty much every well-known woman out of lore is here. A recent discussion with Forbes sheds some light on how this came up, which was mostly happy coincidence that the developers weren’t really trying to accomplish. (And that’s not counting the fact that, you know, Saurfang, Blightcaller, Anduin, Greymane, and so forth still get major story time in the expansion. It’s hardly more of a girl’s trip.)

For those of you with more interest in the hard details of changes arriving in the game, perhaps you’ll be happier with the latest hotfixes for the game fixing some Uldir issues and balance problems. And making Ulduar a fair bit easier, to boot. They’re minor tweaks, but they should make your adventures in Uldir slightly less difficult in unintended ways, which is a good thing.
